 FREE Entrepreneurial Training Programmes

The Barbados Small Business Association hosts courses in conjunction with the Rural Development Commission throughout the year in a wide range of subject areas that could help your business.

There are courses that give you management training such as “Preparing Business Plans/ Proposals”, “Customer Service Techniques” and “Quick Books for Small Businesses” and some offer vocational training such as “Barbering” and “Cake and Pastry Making”. These are only a few of the courses offered and we are constantly looking to improve the courses so as to meet the needs of small businesses. Each time courses are held the dates, times and how to register are advertised on this website and in the newspapers.

 FREE Workshops, Seminars and Presentations

The Barbados Small Business Association frequently hosts FREE seminars, workshops or presentations on various topics e.g. in finance, marketing. Members are notified of these seminars by email and can also visit the events section of this website for details.

Presently members (who have paid all fees) receive a 20% discount when they advertise with the Nation Newspaper.

 Joint Tendering on Contracts through SBAEI

The SBA Enterprises Inc, the trading arm of the SBA, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the SBA. It is a company that provides opportunities for its members to access markets and to provide goods and services to clients locally, regionally and internationally.
