In 2010 Caribbean Catalyst Inc. pioneered the recognition of organisations operating in Barbados with exemplary human resources practices and programmes. The Barbados’ Best Employers (BBE) awards initiative is now an established prestigious biennial programme which is open to private and public sector organisations of all sizes.

Building on our inaugural programme which included a management interview and a staff survey, in 2012 we incorporated additional elements in the survey to assess Employee Engagement. In 2014 we added a Leadership Effectiveness Indicator. We continue to ensure that the process is dynamic and relevant. Although productivity has been an emphasis from inception we have, this year, incorporated additional elements focused on the established drivers of productivity in keeping with the BBE 2016 theme Maximising Productivity! Building a Better Barbados!
